Digimon Adventure (2020)
Wir schreiben das Jahr 2020 und die Menschen könnten sich ihr alltägliches Leben ohne die konstante Präsenz des Netzwerks gar nicht mehr vorstellen. Doch was sie nicht wissen, ist, dass sich auf der anderen Seite eine digitale Welt befindet – ein Reich von Licht und Schatten. Ebenso wenig ahnen sie von der Existenz der dort lebenden Digimon. Doch eines Tages kommt es zu starken Unregelmäßigkeiten im Netz rund um Tokyo. Die Ampeln spielen verrückt, die Fernseher drehen durch und viele andere Gerätschaften verursachen Probleme. In den Nachrichten ist die Rede von einem cyberterroristischen Anschlag. Der Fünftklässler Taichi Yagami bereitet sich derweil daheim auf sein Sommercamp vor, während seine Mutter mit seiner kleinen Schwester Hikari mit dem Zug nach Shibuya gefahren ist. Doch als er von den Vorkommnissen hört, will er nach Shibuya eilen, um seiner Mutter und seiner Schwester zu helfen. Als er sich jedoch auf den Weg macht, wird Taichi Zeuge eines mysteriösen Phänomens und findet sich alsbald in der digitalen Welt wieder! Hier treffen er und einige andere sogenannte Digiritter bald auf ihre Digimon-Partner, mit denen sie in ein noch unbekanntes Abenteuer aufbrechen …
